With just over 30 years of experience in her profession, she continues to learn more each day and shares that passion with her students.
Rosa has had the opportunity to work closely with many students at Central Carolina Community College, Lenoir Community College, and Fayetteville Technical Community College.
Her career began in 1988, in Jalisco Mexico, where she entered Tamazula Beauty School. Looking for a change and instead found something she really enjoyed doing. After being a hairstylist for over 15 years, she began to see a change in the cosmetology Industry, this leading her to enroll at Central Carolina Community College where she began to take advanced courses. This making her one of the first bilingual cosmetology students. During her studies, she realized how much she enjoyed teaching others that after graduating, she register the program of teacher trainee of cosmetology were later was offer a position to teach cosmetology to the High School students at that same college.
Rosa has organized and host many community events were students and Hair Stylist been able to participate, where she has demonstrated her exceptional skills and has achieved numerous awards for her work as well as the team. Seeing the huge demand for bilingual cosmetology Instructors, she began to teach courses in Spanish.
Consequently, opening new doors and the opportunity for many.
She is the previous owner of Dream RAC hair salon and now the current owner and operator of RDT Esperanza Hair Salon, a unisex hair salon, which is involved in the community of Sanford and sponsors local sports teams. She has also received recognition from Central Carolina Community College for her commitment to more than 5 years of work. Rosa’s extraordinary work has been recognized in the front cover of La Connexion numerous times as well as the Daily Record Sanford and Lillington newspaper and the greatest achievement of all been able to host their Graduation of many students who have graduated under her leadership.
To this day, Rosa continues to run RDT Esperanza Salon and teach Spanish cosmetology courses at FTCC. All the meanwhile she continues to set new goals and strive to accomplish them opening the doors of RDT Academy on spring of 2019.
